What is GS1 Locatenet?
GS1 Locatenet is a central directory of GS1 standard, unique Global Location Numbers (GLNs) which identify physical, operational and legal locations. GLNs may be assigned to pricing locations, ship-from locations, ship-to destinations, eMessaging addresses and more.
GS1 Locatenet delivers the ability for trading partners to communicate location master data using GS1 global standards for party synchronisation.
Whilst developed initially for the Healthcare sector to support the National Product Catalogue (NPC), the GS1 Locatenet service is available to all users of GLNs, across all industries. GS1 Locatenet facilitates the dissemination of quality location data from a central, validated, electronic source, supported and administered by GS1 Australia.
